Broken Bones And No Morphine

This can be the most irratating thing in the game. I get once by one zombie in the NWAF tower building on the 2nd floor. I can't go up or downt he tower; I get stuck. I have an PP-19 SD and I'm NOT going to kill myself. Broken bones need to go away after a time limit....

It's just my opinion.

Get someone to help you... I've gotten out of some very sticky situations where at the time, I was sure I was going to die.. I'm talking bleeding, no bandages, hungry, thirsty, passing out every minute or two, on the NW airfield no less, and managed to survive.

Of course luck is always important too...

Keep it realistic.. Broken bones just don't go away after a couple of minutes IRL..

The damage from infected is being fixed in 1.7.2 means they will NOT be able to break your bones with one hit anymore.

I think the problem is morphine is fairly rare, if you're in the west how likely are you to make a crawl all the way to a hospital? It can be done, but it would take a little while. Seems like I used to find morphine in other spots, but I'm sure they slimmed it down. I went on a zombie rampage last night after I broke my leg in Zelenogork, I knew I'd never make it so I sat up in the parking lot of the supermarket and started taking out zombies. I had been alive for 23 days, hopefully somebody decent found my shit.

there's a point where "realism" is just another word for "game mechanic". I submit to you good sir, that this is one of those times. If you want "realism", you shouldn't be able to carry an engine block in your backpack nor carry heli blades on your person and still be able to maneuver normally.

Captain, use some imagination, in life you would make a cart, or some trash to haul those heavy items... not exactly an easy thing to implement, at least in a decent fashion.

However you wanting to pull some Super Hero heal broken bones and regain blood (Health) is straight bulllll. LoL

If you read up on the patch notes for 1.7.2 you will see that he is trying to remedy this slightly when it comes to zombie attacks. Not sure how so many ppl are able to break legs climbing stairs/walking through doors though, as i don't have this particular problem.

hey, you never heard me say that I wanted those things. I like how you have to eat food and/or get a transfusion to regain blood - it sort of makes sense in this game universe.

I'm just saying that if everyone has such a hard-on for realism, why the fuck do goofy things like that get ignored? You think getting a working vehicle in a zed-apocalypse should be only a matter of finding where one is, much less in working order? If that thing needs a new engine it might as well be scrap. Same thing with a heli, I highly doubt that your average survivor that was so unprepared as to not even have a means of defense when he woke up would be able to install and calibrate a helicopter turbine engine and/or rotors.

If it's just game mechanics, JUST SAY SO! Hearing people bitch and moan about realism while dropping a new engine into a car by hand is just fucking ridiculous.

Arma II engine does not handle fall damage very well, if you have played the base game you should know a short fall is capable of killing/disabling you.

Ladders are sometimes not lined up correctly with rooftops which can cause you to fall, however those are usually the ladders placed in the editor, and not those attached to geometry of buildings.

As for stairs, if you sprint down them, or a steep hill, you can suffer fall damage. Take your time, smooth is fast.

I am reluctant to believe there will be any sort of significant fix to this, as it's the engine itself, and how it handles physics, or should I say the lack there of.

EDIT: Also, the issue he mentioned is a real problem, so why don't you take a big sip of STFU and give some constructive feedback about things in the game that genuinely need addressing?

Thing is, if we want "realism" then blood would regenerate, perhaps make it so you need to drink / eat more to keep regenerating blood.

The broken bones should not "heal" in a short time, although it is a little too easy to occur at the moment.

Perhaps make it one week of in game time to heal, if you've been crawling around for that long then hey, you deserve to have the bone fairy fix it.

Alot of trolls in this community, it's going to be the downfall before any game mechanic causes it. Alot of the attitudes here seem to be coming from children. Like the comments of "stfu" etc, what are you 12 ?

If you cannot override your forum tourretes then perhaps you should back off a bit and let the adults discuss things.

I think you misuderstood my point. The OP wants broken bones to recover fully after some minutes or so, but that's just nonsense. Carrying a rotorblade in your backpack can be counted as balance issue really, because how are you supposed to carry it otherwise? Realism has to be put aside for balance at some point, but that point does not start at broken bones healing automatically.
