ALL servers are night time

my friend says EVERY single server he joins is night time. i told him hes just unlucky on picking servers but he insists that theres something wrong with his game. anyone know why this is happening?

i don't think its his video settings because whenever i play with him (when i choose a server) its daytime for both of us.

I find it the opposite lately tbh, I seek night servers but 90% of them within a decent ping are set to day time, clearly some people are scared of the dark :)

I think your friend just looks for half empty servers to have a safe looting session and the only half empty servers are the ones people are reluctant to go to, ie night time servers.
