any way to ban a player from your server?

we had a kid script hacking, we knew him from before he started and was coming to "give us" some items. were already working on getting him Battle-eye banned but since i have the option on the in-game rcon screen which wasnt working, i was forced to repeatedly kick him. anyone know if theres a player list where i can ban his pid from the server?

you need his GUID.

Place his GUID in battleye/bans.txt

Alternatively, connect to your server with an RCON client, and ban him from there.

exhaustive google searches got me the BIS wiki and i tried to use the BERcon but it wont connect to the server. and im not entirely sure where i enter the command addBan [GUID] [time in minutes] [reason] in game. im guessing chat but i cant figure out if it worked for sure

edit: also i dont know where the battleye/bans.txt file is. i believe i have full ftp access but i cant find the file anywhere
