I agree with 2 weapons on the back of the character... Man, we carry an axe on our back. If you guys are trying to talk about reality here to disapprove this idea then we shouldn't even use the axe on the back, just weapons like the baseball bat.
Anytime you fall to the ground with an axe on your back, I'm pretty sure that the thing will get ugly.
So, I think two fire arms on the sides of your backpack is more then safe to people to carry. But yeah, you will surely walk a little bit slower.
An unrealistic situation though would be this \/.

I want to just keep 2 rifle.
and Empty hands.I'm going to run fast.
