Not a bad idea but I am pretty sure 9 out of 10 players will either leave u to die or double tap u

Yea my thinking was not to have this as a means to prevent player killing or even diminish it.

 

Instead I thought this would be a more realistic representation to bodily harm from firearms and explosives compared to the current in game system of 100 percent healthy to instantly dead.

I'm sure in one of the six pages I've posted already but I'm for a dying state.

Having a deflated lung won't kill you outright but you're sure not going far.

As in real life, you shoot until the threat goes away. I am not going to continue to waste precious ammo on a target that is no longer a threat, nor do I want to draw any more attention to myself, or my location, that I absolutely need to.

 

My adversary may ultimately die from his wounds, but I'm not going to administer a coup de grâce, unless he did something above and beyond to piss me off. Better to leave him for zed fodder and perhaps distract the zeds while I make my egress.
