Rearming/Saving a Tent

What does the "REARM AT TENT" option mean?

Also, the stuff I put in my tent is gone (I know, it probably got stolen) but this is within 18 hours of my placing it, and I had it in a VERY secluded spot. I want to make sure I understand how to make the tents work correctly.

1) I pitch the tent

2) I select SAVE TENT

3) I put my crap in it

4) I select SAVE TENT again

5) I go about my merry way.

Am I missing anything? I mean, I had a couple of useless things in that tent...I'm honestly surprised that (If someone found it within the ~18 hours it had been set up) that they would've stripped it totally bare. Thoughts or suggestions?

18 Hours is a long time, especially if a clan is on your server, sometimes they sweep the entire north in a few hours finding dozens of tents/vehicles.

99% chance someone thought "hey this spot on the map is secluded/ popular for tents" and just stole it all after you moved. If they had a vehicle, even more likely they took everything you had. Also, could have just dropped what they didnt take on the ground, to be mean.

Helicopters are used mainly for scouting tents, as it is very easy that way to spot them.

Vehicles too, most spots that people place them are as Zak states, quite frequent. Or out of sheer luck that they found your spot.

So my tent placement procedure was correct? I just wanted to make sure my items didn't vanish due to something I did wrong with saving the tent.

no you were slightly off

after you save the tent for the 2nd time, you must prone and roll around the entire circumference of the tent while chanting "oh long johnson" into your mic

If you look back to some threads a few days ago when the hive went down, you will see that a ton of people lost tents recently.

Also there was a widely-known update recently that was announced somewhere along the lines of "TENTS WILL BE RESET, REMOVE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR TENTS".

Yeah' date=' it was.

However, my Tent Items we're vanished too, and we were well hidden too.

My hunch is that it was raided, but some external factors might be perhaps the admins can track them in the database, like vehicles.

I knew about that, but I just placed this tent the day before yesterday, so it should be after the wipe.

Was missing some more tents, a server restart brought them back.

Just make sure you don't put a map marker on your tent.

I think that requirement was dropped in 1.6.4.
