Tagging one as "friend"

Recommended Posts

Today I was thinking if there would be a solid solution for the "problem" that you can't recognize the members of your own group effectively, especially with a bigger group of people.

I came up with an idea where the game gives you an option to tag a player as your friend when your next to him (maybe so that both need to add eachother to prevent abuse). When you have added the player as your friend you could see his nametag from further, or other similar way to tell if the guy you are looking at, is in fact your mate and not some bandit who just happened to be there. This would ofcourse be useless in nametag servers (which are utter bullshit btw).

Maybe even add a possibility to direct communicate just with your friends (ofc with reasonable distance limitations). I think this COULD help and engourage people to form groups ingame with other survivors even if you don't know them beforehand.

Just a suggestion and this might be the worst idea EU but tell me what you guys think, and if you have better suggestions =)

(sorry, grammar might be awful)

well, its a good idea in my opionion, because rocket said he want the survivors to group up instead of just shoot on sight. And if u are not speaking to your mates it sometimes can be hard to realize where they are or if there is another player near which is not a part of the group.

So it would be good if there would be an option like this.

I like this, one time I accidently shot my friend due to the fact he didnt tell me he went into this barn where I saw a hostile player, and I pew pewed him with my M4A3.

Great idea :o, evryone looks the same in this game (sorta) and irl people don't O_o so being able to tag someone mabey isn't realistic but unless they want to make 400 000+ different characters it's a goodie idea c:
