gibonez 3633 Posted April 25, 2014 Good news it looks like dayz will get a little more intutitive and less clunky. Loose ammo in your inventory will be used to reload weapons so simply pressing r will put a new round in your gun even if you do not have a stripper clip. The current method is uber clunky but was obviously a wip.

Katana67 2907 Posted April 25, 2014 Is there a source? I think it'd diminish the significance of speedloaders on certain weapons.

Yea but speed loaders are really not needed in alot of firearms all they do is increase the speed in which you can load. speedloading a revolver takes 1 or 2 seconds. Manually ejecting should take closer to 3 or 4.

Manually ejecting should take closer to 3 or 4. Right, but I liked needing a speedloader to reload properly for certain weapons. I agree that on single-shot weapons it makes sense, but just having to press R to chamber a round (even though I do like it) diminishes the disparity between reloading with a speedloader and without. I foresee them needing to tweak the reload times with R to chamber a round later on.

They can create an interesting reloading mechanic where pressing r loads a new round, reloading a revolver requires 6 presses. You can use this ssame mechanic to top off a mosin and add manual bolting while they are at it.
(DD)DutchB4k 9 Posted April 25, 2014 I love this idea.Lot of the guns have internal magazines or break action.(mosin-nagant,sks,magnum,shotguns)Of Course it prob will be way slower than lets say a stripper clip or speedloader now thad you load a single round at the time.Hope it ends up as a option you can scroll true like you can if you have diffrend kinds of m4 mags.Let's say you shoot 4 rounds from your sks, hit reload but choose slingle round loading.now you can ad those 4 rounds not wasting a stripper clip. Also it cud be cool thad if you did choose the stripper clip it loaded 4 rounds leaving 7 on the stripper clip. This way you can choose between a fast reload or a slow and tidy 1. But as for guns with loose mags hope it only gives a single round load in the camber or load mag.Intersting it can be if you can load 1 round in the pistol chamber than load a mag to get like mag +1 round. jukaga 271 Posted April 25, 2014 Thank god. It didn't happen that often but having to tab out to inventory when in the middle of a beach fight with a un-magged pistol was just agony. Hope this is true!
Rick1633 136 Posted April 25, 2014 I this what caused the new glitch where empty inventory slots are unusable? This might have something to do with this new bug.
funyun 15 Posted April 25, 2014 I this what caused the new glitch where empty inventory slots are unusable? This might have something to do with this new bug. That is not a new bug, and is fixable by dropping the item and picking it back up.
