Will the 3D scopes in DayZ have peripheral vision set back?

Recommended Posts

Wondering if the 3D scopes in DayZ will some time in the future have the peripheral vision around it have normal FoV and only the scope be zoomed in.

The reason I want this is because it looks ugly the way it is now, with the entire screen zoomed in. It also appears kind of lazy like they didn't want work on it. Seriously, most games now are getting more advanced scopes. Something like this:

But right now it seems we are still stuck back in 2008, where programmers 6 years ago are doing what is implemented in DayZ. Either the engine can't do this in DayZ can't do this or Devs can't do it. Yes, I know it does have a costly performance but still, it seems better and less lazy.

I hope this gets implemented in the future or by the time dayz is released as full game.

Um...in what way would this be better than a full screen scope?

And no...almost all games I know, 2000-2014, use full screen scopes, it seems by no means advanced to me.

Well are you willing to sacrifice half of your frame rate to achieve that ?

I am not against multiple optics in the graphics menu.

2d scopes

3d scopes

3d scopes rendered twice.

Even though I have a 290x I will still go for 2d scopes no need to sacrifice frames for something that looks equally nice in 2d.
