Can Zombies Hear? Where are the Flares?

Zombies can hear noises such as footsteps and gunshots, which mean they should be able to hear if we talk in-game also.  That way we could lure zombies with whistling, yelling, or if we're talking to loud.

 

Ever been playing and after feeling like you know the map very well you get lost and can't find your way around?  Your friends are looking for you in the same general location but because of the trees you guys just run in circles and passed each other. 

 

Flares: Flares or some type of location signal should be added.  It can be a flare, the smoke from a fire etc.
