dont understand how to equip hatchet/knife

right click it, remove from toolbelt. thats how its usually done.

Make sure you have no primary weapon in you primary slot, right click hatchet and equip..

hey thanks that worked! but for some reason on my 2nd fight instead of hitting with my hatchet (i did have "ammo) i tried "throwing something".. which got me killed, but i understand this is a learning experience.. but how do i prevent this from hapening?

Throwing takes a very long time.

Also, avoid hitting "F" as it swaps what you're going to do (Attack, throw, Chemlight, Flare, ect)

its a bit silly but u actually have to reload the hatchet before u can use it. i found one and could not hit anything with it. then i reloaded it and hat about "10000" rounds (hits).

the hunting knife does not work as a weapon but u can use it on animals to get "FRESH MEAT" (God Diablo 3 i hate u so much)
