Please Help! Low-end pc :<

Recommended Posts

Hello,Im so exciting to play DayZ standalone, but sadly i have my FPS around 10-15 or less?

My PC:

2Gb Ram[1gb 667 MHz + 1gb 800MHz]

CPU : Intel pentium D 3.00 GHz(2cpus) [i bought it on 2007 and i think it doesnt support 2gb rams,or it barely do]

GPU : Nvidia GeForce GS8400 512mb

Motherboard : something from Gigabyte c:

with all the settings on low, desktop resolution to 860x640 and in game the same resolution with 80% view res, with few settings on steam launch [such as -nosplash and blublablu]... it still barely works on 10-15 fps :D

So there's my question... Is there any possible way to make it work better?

I know , i know, my pc is a wreck.. but eh.. i dont have money for other pc... even the game.. someone gifted me... actually a random person...very kind of him.. but anyway.. please help.

I doubt there's any way to make it better. DayZ, wether it be the SA or the mod is a very demanding game and your pc is simply not up to the task. Nothing really you can do about it sadly. You've already tried to fiddle around with the settings, thats about all you could have done.. :(

I would upgrade from 2GB to ~4-8GB RAM, since this is may be your biggest bottle neck.

Also, have a look here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154330-possible-fps-enhancer/ ;)

That link is your best shot at improving performance. That being said you are literally sitting on the min specs, which are pretty much the specs that you need to be able to run the game without getting an error message and crashing. In future I wouldn't recommend purchasing a game unless you are above the recommended specs.

Ah, well lucky you then. xD

If you were to upgrade it I would go with some extra RAM as was already suggested. The CPU and graphics card are both quite old so if you upgrade one the other won't be able to keep up anyway. You're right in thinking that it would be best to just wait until a time when you do have the cash to just build a whole new machine.
