Bre3ze 13 Posted April 19, 2014 I was fully geared up and ran from NE airfield down to Berenzino, cause my plan was to help people on my way to the south. My first kill was in the yellow police station, when I walked up the stairs, I found someone camping there waiting for me with a mosin, thankfully he missed and I killed him with my M4. After looting his body and giving the Mosin with a Long range scope I found at NE, I gave it to a new spawn that thought I was a KOS bandit. But here comes the fun part, I find another new spawn running from a zombie while bleeding from every pore on his body. I bandage him up and give him my fireaxe. He says something that was pretty suspicious, " Hey lets go and find my new spawn buddy, he's just right over at this office across the road."Suddenly I here a mosin shooting at us!Luckily this guy was a bad shot and missed 2~3 times. I here my new spawn buddy yell out he found him inside the piano house upstairs. I go up and down this bandit in a mere 3 seconds, as he was probably expecting a slow approach by me. New spawn buddy asks if he could take his mosin, THIS WAS WHERE I FUCKED UP. I trusted him fully, since he helped me take down a bandit. He says there is a STANAG 30 round clip on him, and says I should go loot it. Just as I take the mag, BOOM, YOU ARE DEAD Apparently, this was the guy I killed earlier at the police station, and get this! He blames me for killing him. This was a pretty fun experience for me :P Definitely worth all the time gearing up, makes me want to play this game more!

CrniVarg 18 Posted April 19, 2014 (edited) Well I had a different experience yesterday. I logged in a bit south from NEAF and I was searching for an SKS. Decided to go to the airfield to pick up some attachments. As I entered the ATC I noticed a player sprinting towards me so I took up a position at the stairs and told him to stay away. He ran up anyway and then I saw he has no gun drawn. Well the situation was tense but nobody died. So I proposed we make our way to Chernaya Polana since I was searching for the SKS and he had poor gear. Brought him to Chernaya Polana, we looted a couple of buildings and went on our merry way.I logged off to eat something and when I got back I decided to go trough the NEAF again and down to Berezino. I logged on to another server and stopped at the prison near the ATC to have a look. Suddenly I hear footsteps and I let the guy know I'm there. After a short chat where we agreed that we don't trust each other I put my gun away and ran down to the prison cell. He was on the floor with a Blaze pointed at the door but he did not shoot as he was even more surprised to see me, so he just ran out of the cell. I took him with me, we hiked, we ate, we drank kvas. It was fun, way more fun then a 30 second shootout.Introduced him to my guild, perhaps he'll join us. I had 2 encounters on the NWAF in a day without a single shot fired. There might be hope for this game :rolleyes:EDIT: I just got axed in Berezino hospital but the guy was just scared since we ran into each other in the stairs. I survived, but my TTsKo jacket is ruined now :| Edited April 19, 2014 by CrniVarg
MCNine 13 Posted April 19, 2014 (edited) You got played? Every encounter i have with someone starts with me being friendly and ends with them dying( or me). I was running south out of NEAF the other day. I see a guy running towards me on the road. I go "hey buddy, wait wait wait.". I go "i am friendly, do you need anything". All the while i do this i am analyzing the situation. How armed is he? Is he alone? After playing dumb and telling him i am unsure what ammo i neeed for my gun i ask him to takea look at it.... So i shot him point blank in the face with a sawed off shotgun. He now has to respawn and get geared which can take an 1hr+. I just saved myself loot time and kept myself from getting shot in the back. Never. trust. anyone. Edited April 19, 2014 by MCNine

ld-airgrafix 403 Posted April 20, 2014 It would have been more fun if they actually needed your equipment such as food or bullets to survive, but hey, just another kos/ war story.
IamDinner 28 Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) That's why I like this game. You kill someone at the air field and you literally just took 2 hours of their life. Funny how some see it that way. To me it would seem both living and dying are part of the game and if you do not get both over time you are only getting half the game. You brought something to the table in killing someone. You brought action and adventure. if it was a solo game and only zomboids in there it would be crap utter crap. Interaction is the important part that people seem to forget. In the end it matters little if it was positive or negative as without both the game is pointless. Seems to me he should be happy he is dead or alive as long as their was player interactions. The kind of people who stew about these things probably are not good candidates for games like this. They are also those same assholes that backstab you at work and in life to get ahead because they just can't seem to win if they use the actual rule set in play. A bit of stereotyping I know but they do come from someplace don't they... Edited April 20, 2014 by IamDinner

IamDinner 28 Posted April 20, 2014 Cutting such a beard should be illegal. I had one like that once when I was in high school. I started to grow facial hair at 11 so by 15 I could get a luscious grow... It was not easy to shave it off. Nice to get served at 16 in any bar where they don't already know you. They really were lax on checking ID back then lol.
TheCookiemob59 8 Posted April 26, 2014 You forgot rule #1. Trust no one. I trusted someone in a town up north-east of the map, we became good friends, added eachothers on Steam and Skype. :P Even his other friends are nice, definatly made the game less boring. :PI usually don't trust anybody, but here I made an exception, and I definatly don't regret it. Finnlore 0 Posted April 27, 2014 I always try to trust people because if they kill you what do you lose? You get to gear up again which I find is the best part of the game right now. If the person you show trust to becomes a friend in game that is a much bigger plus than losing some gear which I will get back any ways.
