So I log in on Experimental, into the shed behind the grocery store in Starry. I immediately hear a mosin shot, someone taking down a zed I think in my head. So I ready my sawed off, and say 'hello, I'm friendly, just heard a shot' etc, no response. I wait a bit, then take a look around, nothin' doin'. Figured it was just a sound glitch, so I head to some unlooted garages looking for a PU scope. Open one up, lo and behold a player pops up looking at me, mosin raised. I'm ready to shoot too, but we don't. A zed goes after the first player it seems, then towards me, I kill it while still in the garage with my shotgun. Player pops back up, by then I've raised my mosin and give a wave, he moves off.

 

Cautiously I move around the side of the garages and spy five or so players screwing around 'awesome' I think, and say so, coming out from behind cover and put my hands up, saying 'sup guys'. 

 

Needless to say, even after I complimented their gaslamp and was awed by the one guy's crossbow skills taking out a zed, I was capped while typing, single shot to the head. I could hear them drinking my sodas and dividing up my ammo as I lay there dead. I will have my revenge! I hope you stick around guys, cause I'm almost back with an SKS (with a PU scope) and more than enough ammo to kill you all and I ain't gonna be so passive :P

 

As an aside... why do people never talk in this game? Even friendly encounters I've never once heard someone talking into their mic or seen them type in direct chat. Its kinda lonely :(

Anyone who doesn't talk I find suspicious because usually they're afraid to talk to you/converse just before they kill you.

Well, every person I've ever met in game is mute xD 

 

Update on the Hunt: Its over, got ganked by a guy chasing me with a pistol. Already playing my calm-down game Starbound. This game is bad for my heart :thumbsup:
