Odd I had the exact opposite experience with FNX vs Magnum. I have killed someone with a single headshot at +25 meters using the scope on the FNX and the Magnum seems to be rather sketchy at anything past 10 meters.

Well they are both sketchy accuracy-wise for me, but the magnum actually drops people people when it hits.

Pistols/Sawn off all the way man. Just run around with the shotty in the pack and the pistol in the pockets and you're ready to gank would be freshspawn killers all day erreday.

I almost always carry a pistol, as a backup weapon when using an SKS or (rarely) m4 and as a close combat weapon for when I'm being a Mosin sniping arsehole, which is most of the time, honestly. :D

 

Generally I go 357 revolver with the SKS or m4 to save inventory space, since I won't need a stack of ammo AND magazines and FNX45 when I'm using a Mosin, loot permitting. I also like having a weapon capable of mounting a weapon flashlight of some type for night servers (although I don't know why I bother, considering everyone gamma exploits anyway).
