KOS is a choice, not an inevitability.

A couple of clips ... 2 of my more recent "friendly" encounters. There's a lot of debate on these forums about the "KOS" playstyle vs being "friendly".

The reality is.. Every player has a choice how he wishes to enter a scenario and how he expects it to end. If you run around assuming everyone is your enemy, then you will never have the opportunity to meet friendly players. But if you play intelligently and decide when someone is a threat, or not, meanwhile covering your own ass, it's wholly possible you can interact with other armed players without bloodshed.

I'm not a hero.

I'm not a bandit.

I am a man.. There is a monster inside of every man, and it stirs when you put a gun in his hand. Sometimes that monster is needed. You'll see that in the next episode. But in this episode, we have the opportunity to make an ACTUAL FRIEND, THROUGH THE GAME, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T SHOOT HIM.

Enjoy! :D
