Zedertone 378 Posted April 15, 2014 So, I didn't see any suggestions for this. I think it would be cool if we could shoot through walls with certain guns? I think it would make firefights a shit ton easier, and quicker and would stop people from sitting in a corner with their gun pointed at where you're gonna have to come around. Although, I don't want it to be like COD. I want it to be so only certain rounds can go through walls, rounds like 7.62 and maybe 5.56. I don't want any pistols to be able to shoot through those block walls and do something lethal, even though in real life they probably could, but just in the standalone make it to where they maybe could, but nothing lethal. What also would be cool is when you shot a building, a bullet chunk came out depending on the bullet size, even though that would probably be very hard on the engine, and I highly doubt that'll be implemented. What do you guys think about this? (Sorry if it was posted already, I couldn't find it.)
TIC 1050 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) I believe it'll be implemented depending on what material the wall is. To an extent, this is currently in the game as it is in the mod. Such as shooting wooden or metal objects may go through depending on how thick they may be. As with Bohemia Interactive, we may see possible influences between ARMA 3 and DayZ swapping features so we may possibly see something similar to this: Edited April 15, 2014 by TIC321
DayZ_Friendly 145 Posted April 15, 2014 Yes, we did an experiment and my friend shot me with the .22 while I was in a wooden shed.
