I have found a pristine fresh banana and a worn fresh tomato.

How rare is fresh fruit?

Will it keep in my inventory (ie is there a shelf time before it becomes rotten)?

How much does it satisfy hunger? I can only assume a great deal...?

Fresh fruit not rare, and not worth clogging inventory. get cans of beans, peaches, and bags of rice and powdered milk. Throw in 2 canteens and you are set.
