"Dropping items while swimming can be disabled with "enableItemsDropping = 0;" in description.ext"

I have searched my entire computer and this file does not exist. Does it need to be created?

Which means that it will need to be implemented by the DayZ Team I believe. Not server admins or users.

I'm having the same problem, losing the backpack while swimming is very bad ... Anyone know if this file should be created or edited? I did not find him in the game folders ...

You have to edit the mission PBO file as said previously, just search within that file for "enableItemsDropping", and you can set that to "0" for off and "1" for on.

im guessing its based on the game / the server admin they have control over that
