The melee weapons are a joke right now. There is nobody talking about it anywhere, not even the community. Surely you can kill any human with a bat or machete in a little less than 20 swings to the chest.

I like to think the new physics stuff will fix this, but nobody has brought it up at all.

Actually there has been tons of these threads...it just takes some looking through all the heaps of garbage in this section of the forum.

All of the threads I see end with something like "find a fireaxe noob problem solved"

I basically was hoping that in one of the many conventions that the dayz team recently attended, and the roadmap they revealed, that they would say "hallelujah you can effectively kill stuff with a hammer"
