Settings reset

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, got a bit of a problem.

Initially I had a lot of settings turned down to run the game pretty smooth (or as smooth as I could). Since I did that, I have installed a new graphics card, mobo, and CPU.

Now I can up the setting to see farther, enable antialiasing, all that jazz.

Problem is when I close te game, if I load it back up it reverts all of my settings to what I used to have them at.

I've tried adjusting them at the main menu and after I log in to a server, but it always resets them after closing the program.

Any suggestions?

First thing i'd do is check that your setting config file isnt set to read only,

Go to C:\Users\[yourusername]\Documents\DayZ

Right click the DayZ folder and select Properties and make sure the box next to read only isnt checked

also check the files inside the dayz folder, mainly  [yourusername].DayZProfile

Ahh hadn't thought of that. I actually had to completely reinstall everything a while back and needed to go in there and tweak settings again to get more fps anyhow. Guess I'll give it a shot after I get off work in the morning.

Thanks
