Repairing and Fueling the bus

Hey guys, I have a question that no one can answer in game nor in the IRC chat.

Myself and two friends have found and refuelled a bus using two already-full jerry cans, we used one scrap metal on the fuel station to repair "HIT1" HOWEVER we cant seem to refuel the spent jerry cans.

Could someone give us some advice?

In addition, our engine and fuel icons are red but the bus still runs, what do these icons mean?

You can refuel jerry cans at gas stations I believe.

Thanks, I took two empty jerry cans to a fuel station and repaired the fuel station with x1 scrap metal.

The option said: Repair HIT1,

when its completed it said "you have added scrap metal to house"

I took the cans to each fuel pump and both gas tanks and no option to refill them was there. Please advise?

Jerry cans are refuelled at these brown tanks.

They are large brown cylindrical tanks that can be found randomly in some factory compounds / on farms / countryside towns.

And not at petrol stations? What does HIT1 do?

the brown ones? i thought those didnt work. i use the white ones with a green strip running along the middle.

Which of the options for repairing glass actually repairs the front windshield? There's like 10 of them...
