Unnecessary extra button push and mismatched animation

Recommended Posts

Currently in the game, when i remove the rifle from my back and hold it, i must then raise the weapon before i can aim it. Isnt this extra button redundant? I would like  to be able to go from simply holding the gun with both hands strait to aiming. This extra button press to raise the weapon is completely unnecessary to me. I know this  game is not a first/third person shooter and it is so much more than that, but in this case i think this game could benefit from this. When i play mass effect, skyrim, or fallout i go strait from holding to aiming and it is so much more beneficial because the  response. its very frustrating to have to hit three buttons in succession to fire my weapon.

Also, currently the first person - weapon held - shows no gun with the third person showing - a gun in both hands lowered; the first person - weapon raised - shows a lowered weapon in your hands while the third person version shows an almost aimed weapon.

What i would like to see overall is that when i pull my rifle from my back in first person, it shows the weapon in my hands, then i need to only hit one button to aim. Does this conflict with anything?

You are new here, congrats on first post.

What if i like having my gun out and not look like im about to shoot you in the face? I try to be friendly but my finger itches.

I think you may have sight problems with the guns, im sure they are fine.

and also Alpha.

@durrhunter i think you misread. It is currently "on back", "lowered", "raised", "aimed".

I would like to go strait from "on back" to "lowered" to "aimed",

You seem to think i said i want to go "on back", "raised", :aimed" which is not what i meant. Does that sound feasable or is there conflicts?

Thank you for the  welcome.

This is intentionally done so that people may recognise eachother as nonehostile, with the weapon lowered you are ready for a fight but it's not as if you are aiming at someone the instant you see them which reduces the KoS mentality in theory.

I bet in the future it will be possible to do what you want. Just look at what they're doing with gestures, changing from giving someone the finger to pointing for example. Be patient. Good suggestion.
