Status bars question

After about 50 hours play (getting shot,axed and killed many times by zombies) I decided to try and stay alive for a longer period of time.My tactic was to avoid everything untill I had full gear.

Running all over the map looting and gearing up,I was in full pristine gear after about 40 hours.(think I been to every town and city on the map)

 

So here I am fully geared,everything pristine,motorcycle helmet,tactical west,army boots,firemans Axe ,m4,ammo,mags etc....

Hunters backpack full of pristine food,drinks and water.Medical stuff,wooden sticks,rags basicly everything you would need to survive exept a Box opener.(used knife,Axe and screwdriver to open cans)

 

Always energized,hydrated and most of the time stuffed.If I had a zombie encounter,I rearly got hit cause of the op fire Axe.1 shot most zombies,but taking a hit now and then.Everytime I got hit I ate and drank until I was healing.I ate vitamins whenever i found.My status was always healthy.

 

So my question: is the status bars showing all the info you need? Can I be sick or something without it showing? Cause I did die....not by a sniper,I got 1 shotted by one of those female zombies.

Was running around a corner in a small town with my rifle drawn,and there she was just around the corner.Didnt want to shoot,so I switched to my Axe like I done hundred times before,but before I had time to raise my Axe she hit me one time and I died.No bleeding....nothing.

 

Light green bars and healthy,pristine gear all over,and 1 hit and i'm dead. Could this be a bug,or was I infected or sick without knowing?

 

Anyways....I respawn,running around in my t-shirt hungry and thirsty and killing zombies with my fists.And now I can take a whole lot of beating.

 

So I was thinking : mabye the beating you will take in the early stages before you get a decent melee weapon,sticks with you or something.Lets say you get hit 50-60 times over a long period of time by zombies you will die no matter what? Some sort of counter?

 

Anyone have any ideas what could cause this?

dunno about almost all of what U are looking for for an answer...but

 

Had this happen to a friend of mine, right in front of me. We were all geared UP. All pristine all the way around.

And that same blond\pink top zombie just ran on up and whacked him. 1Hit Dead.

I try to avoid her now.

I don't know about the one hit zombie thing, as I've never experienced it myself.  However, I'm unaware of any "hidden" sick or injured status that would make you weaker without noticing it.  It sounds like you were doing everything right to keep a healthy character and the zombie got a lucky hit.  Whether or not that should be possible is another question (I don't think so).
