Combining Loot / Items

So the last few days I finally realized that you can pour Water from a bottle / canteen into another bottle / canteen. Makes sense, is fun.

 

Why can I not do this with, say.. Vitamins?

I believe you can do it with Bandages, I'm 100% sure it works with rags.

 

The Tetra Salicyl Tabs (or whatever they're called) not being able to combine makes sense since they come in single packages and not bottles (hope you understand what I mean, the foil packages where you push out one pill at a time, they wouldn't be refillable in RL since the seal would be broken).

 

My question is: Can you combine badly damaged with pristine items? (I know it works with Rags, Ammo and such, but how about a Vitamin Bottle?)

 

And: Are there any other "combineable" items I may have overlooked?

No ruined items are useless, you cannot combine them with anything
