It would be very useful if there was something like "Switch this, if you want to hear sounds, while you are on the desktop checking email, or something." button in audio menu. It is very useful in HC Path of Exile and since DayZ has "one life only" system too, I would greatly appreciate it! (:

Well, no.

 

I also think there's already something like this, not by choice I hope. I remember when I got killed and I respawned, I ran out on the road and literally just lied there while I was alt-tabbed doing stuff, then I started hearing voices and it took me a while to figure out it was from the game.
