A very convenient feature [Suggestion]

It would be amazing and very convenient if there was some sort of clan/faction sort of thing where you can respawn next to someone. I suppose it might not be the best but it’s good for you tubers and friends, for example I died and my friend is on the other side of the map, It would be great if I could just teleport there and be with him/her instead of travelling for a long time.

no, no no and no...takes all realism out of the game. sorry buddy but i think its a terrible idea, i like the whole 'if you die you get dumped in a random location' best part of the survival experience. you can make awesome videos still, if you die and you running to a friend and you stumble across some bandits and you have to work out how you are going to get passed them

You don't respawn, when you die, you become an entirely different character, but the game is sure to have mafia wars at some point

Sorry I lag alot in titanfall, I just cant seem to ever play it!

 

Anyways, you will never see this make it into Vanilla DayZ simply because it is a core feature of the game. Being all along trying to find your partners surviving all at the same time.

Hasn't Dean already confirmed this? I'm pretty sure I've heard him say it in an interview a couple of months back.

 

Teams can spawn together, or at least very close.

 

I also don't get why this is not realistic. People draft ashore together if they are holding on to the same piece of wood or whatever.

I agree and hope that it will be possible to team up with you friend before even joining in any server and that would allow you start together at any random location it decides to take you(like normally). It is frustrating to die and have to travel for 15-60 Minutes or more just to get started with your friend. For a lone wolf this doesn't matter, but for players who play together with their IRL friends, it does.

That would be nice, but the issues it could cause..... If someone kills you but your friend kills them, TP back would be no issue. The issue comes when someone kills you and your friend and that person who killed you are in combat. You could TP to your friend and distract the enemy, or you could die, come back, loot your body and have 2 people again. This could be good if it happened when you first joined a server, or if there's been no gunshots recently  or no people within a certain radius of the person your about to TP too.
