zeroy 240 Posted April 4, 2014 You should fix that aspect ratio in the videos, very odd.
Sinphaltimus 262 Posted April 4, 2014 You should fix that aspect ratio in the videos, very odd. I don't think there is an aspect ratio issue. I keep my field of view on the highest setting because I play on a 42" screen that sits barely 24 inches in front of my face.

You cannot see that the aspect ratio is off? the height isnt right, you can see all the object and players are squeezed.
Sinphaltimus 262 Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) You cannot see that the aspect ratio is off? the height isnt right, you can see all the object and players are squeezed. Could be my eyes, but I play it full screen, I'm not sure it's something I'm doing in the final conversion before uploading or something youtube is doing to my file. I'll take a closer look and see if I can find the problem or more importantly the cause for it. I have a slow internet connection so after rendering the video, I run it through a visually loss-less conversion that cuts the file size down about 75% (makes it just 25% the original size). There's no way to lock the aspect ratio in the conversion so it might be happening there. I'm also looking at alternative software that has aspect ratio specific settings to lock it properly no matter the conversion. And check the output setting of the video you obtain pre-youtube upload. I presume you play on a 16:9 monitor?
Sinphaltimus 262 Posted April 7, 2014 I play at 1920x1080 and that's my recording size. And my rendered size after editing. I have to check if that changes after the recompression. I'll do that later today. if you could try something for me, set your field of view as high add it goes (all the way ip to the right) in DayZ configiration menu and sweet if that's not the weird squishing you are seeing. I'll do my check when I get home. Thanks.

I presume you play on a 16:9 monitor? I think I found the issue, now I have to look at my settings.nVidia shadowplay is capturing my footage at 1920x1080 (16:9)To spite the fact I am telling Premiere to export the same settings as my imported video, it is actually exporting the video at 1440x1080 (4:3)And I am recompressing using Windows Media Encoder x64 to 1280x720 (16:9).This method is the fastest render to Upload speed I can achieve. However; I'm sure if I can geet premiere to render out at 1920x1080, It will be even faster and possibly solve the aspect ratio issue you are reporting. Although i do believe that much of he squishing you see is due to the really high field of view setting, this new finding can be making it worse.

Must be a simple parameter issue somewhere!

No issues with premiere have been some to date. Hehe. But yeah, I think it's just a matter of either selecting the correct preset or customizing one then matching the sequence setting to it. I will certainly be correcting this for my next video.
