So where do we stand with idle players in the lobby? i've seen players idle for 6, 7, 8 hours in order to keep their slot on LU15, do we leave them to it, kick them, what ? pretty obvious theyre just causing a bottleneck if theyre not actively playing the game.

People who run BEC lets it kick idle users. Usually after 3-5 minutes of sitting in the lobby (this value can be changed to whatever suits the server, but the minimum time is 180 seconds). So I don't see the problem in manually kicking idlers after 5-10 minutes.

Ive noticed it aswell and its not fair on other players wanting to join but they cant because 5 or more slots are taken up by people just sitting in the lobby for x amount of time

I have done this myself at times if I need to go make a coffee or pee or something but am only afk for upto 5-10m. If you have people doing it for hours and hours like that then they're taking the piss tbh. Good idea to ask the devs though but I shouldn't think anyone would mind if you kick them, people only raise a stink if you kick people from the game for a stupid reason but they're not even in the game technically in this case, they're just taking up server space that would be put to better use by an active player.

Just be sure to list the reason they were kicked so they don't come and make a thread to bitch you out here lol.

How do you kick with a reason? i use BERCon and as far as i know there is no option to kick with a reason

I use Rcon. While it's not the most stable GUI version on BERcon it works.

Just have to get used to reconnecting every 5 minutes. Ha Ha.
