damonxwind 4 Posted June 25, 2012 Is it just me, or is the M16 sighted to about 300M, with no way to zero it down to 100? Whenever I am close to a target, and fire with an M16 variant, the bullet hits a foot or two above the target. Kind of annoying that I can't adjust the sights on it, as its kind of a dealbreaker for an otherwise favorite of mine.
Castle (DayZ) 23 Posted June 25, 2012 The biggest dealbreaker with the AR-15 guns to me is how god awful the iron sights are. Love the CCO though. That being said I think the AKM is the only assault rifle with zeroing in DayZ.
damonxwind 4 Posted June 25, 2012 But you haven't had to aim for the crotch to get a headshot at 40M with one of those things? Even the CCO did it for me. I think back in 1.6, when I started playing, I found an M4M203, and it was sighted fine.

7-75 callaghan 43 Posted June 25, 2012 Learn how to compensate when you can't zero. Not that hard.
FieldMedic 7 Posted June 25, 2012 I don't have any trouble with the M4A1 CCO. My suggestion, if you are experiencing difficulty, is to setup a quick custom single player mission with some target dummies and practice with your rifle of choice until you get a feel for it.The ArmA 2 custom mission editor is pretty easy to use.
