Spawn to friends location (HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE!)

Recommended Posts

The problem I find with DayZ is that I have absolutely no way to play it with friends if I have only 30-60 min to play. It simply takes too long to group up.

The way to fix this is this:

"Save group option" when you are close to players who are in same guild/ squad as you.

Then next time you LOGIN in game, you get to choose if you want to spawn close to group that was around when you logged off or if you want to spawn where you logged off at. You can choose the location of the group ONLY once within 24 hours.

How is group formed and how is the group location determined?

-Group is formed in game by choosing close by friends to join the group. You can ONLY join group of people when they are in SAME squad/ guild as you.

-The group is linked to one character in field that is "concidered" as the leader of the group by the DayZ main server. If the character dies, the next player in group is concidered by the system to be the "leader".

-When you login to a server where there is a chracter from the same group, you get to choose if you want to spawn in location where you logged off or if you want to spawn in location where the group is located

-if there is several people from same group in server when you log in and you want to spawn to group, you can only spawn to location where is the "main person" / leader or the person in que after him in the server.

-if plyer dies, he is no longer concidered to be part of the group

I kind of like having to actually work my way to my friend's location, but if you really have little time you can do it like this "hey guys see you tomorrow, same hour same place" that's what i've been doing with my play buddies. You don't have to log off all at the same time, just need to be in the same place or near when you do. Works wonder for me and them.

Clans are already the most powerful groups in the game, creating a mechanic designed with the single purpose of keeping them grouped only shifts the balance further in their direction. The current design is a pain in the ass, to be sure. But this is not the solution.
