Breaking the legs of zombies?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I have used the search function, but couldn't find anything on this.

Would it be possible to implement the breaking of zombie legs? Make it so they have to crawl and limp. It would add a few different ways of playing SA, I think. You could lead zombies around to a base, lead them to a closed room and run off. You could use them as protection.

Is this a good thought, or am I just thinking it is a good idea?

You could do this in the mod IIRC, it's probably coming to SA soon.

Dont know why, but i can imagine a bunch of hilarious situations with this. All i see is a guy running around with 20 crawling zombies following him while he screams "I AM YOUR GOD NOW" on the mic. Ahhhh DayZ.....

You are indeed correct, this was doable in the MOD. Hope it comes back in S.A.

It may well impact server performance though, more info to store, zombies having a full skeleton like players (200 zombies with broken legs).

Although I am no coder, so this is a big assumption on my behalf.

Maybe they will take this one step further,

and add body dismemberment.I heard some rumors

that they will work on it.Along with ragdoll pshyisics, leg broken

zombies would be an awesome thing to have ingame.

Yes, this should be added, infact we should probably take it a step further and add bleeding to zombies,

I mean come on this is a realistic game.

Do zed's have the same hit boxes as survivors? If so, it would help with implementation.
