A few questions

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I got a question about this day-z mod.

First of all I was wondering, if you for example play on a server and do some stuff and join another server, will you keep your stuff and progress or do you have to start again?

Great thanks, I'm gonna buy arma 2 tomorrow. Can't wait for this mod, it looks so good.

Btw how many GB's is the game with the mod?

And are people able to level up and get quests in this game? Or make cars etc to drive everywhere?

Be advised that this mod is very much an ALPHA. That means it is far from finished, does have lots of bugs and glitches, and is changing all the time.

As a moderator I have read tons of posts by people who bought Arma2:Combined Operations (Arma2 alone will not play DayZ) and then come here whining because in this mod this is like this and that is like that and it's not a polished, finished game. Don't be one of those!

Spend your money but know what you are buying.

Size? The mod itself is quite small. The game it's based on is many gigs. If you have to ask that question you should probably buy a bigger hard drive first.

Quests? No. Level up??? Uh, absolutely not. I recommend you watch a BUNCH of youtube videos and read some reviews before you buy anything. This might not be your sort of game.

Arma the game itself looks pretty good too, not just buying it for the mod.

Also I was wondering, if you got loot and such you should just keep scavenging? Or is it the purpose to go to harder areas?

About the bugs and glitches, what kind of stuff is actually glitched? Because I like the gameplay in youtube video's and they don't seem to be experiencing any bugs.

And when will the beta be released?
