In a land with no law and order one type of individual excels at surviving.

 

I would take a regular remington 700 in .223 any day of the week with a fixed 10x scope and a simple harris bipod.

 

With that weapon you could easily take out other survivors and steal their food and hard work.

 

A crossbow will get you killed.

Lol. It'll be about ten times louder, the whole point Daryl uses the bow is to Silently kill zombies, and to hunt his food, something you wouldnt be doing either off with your loud as hell remington.,. you would get killed or die of starvation much quicker than a good bowman!

called a suppressor and most remington 700s are threaded for one.

 

In the US they are readily available and are quite common especially in the parts that the TV show takes place in Georgia is full of em.
