Game is unplayable since the last update ?

I have played only once after the latest patch. I dont like those god damn fast zombies and the fact that they can jumpattack you. Then they respawn everywhere so it is pointless to shoot them, just wasting ammo. Cant outrun them so what you gonna do? I hope that the next patch comes soon so I can start to play this game again :(

They run faster than you, but still they won't hit ya. After a few secs they slow down a lot. It seems like they've some sort of stamina. I haven't experienced any rubberbanding yet.

Good it shouldn't be playable it's an alpha you are testing the game.

If you happen to have fun while doing it then that's a bonus.

This is the mindset that all the Early Access "Alpha" game DEVs are thriving off of.

 

Users pay them so that they can do part of their job for them, and then when anybody questions the rate of development, or the real intentions of the DEVs, they don't even have to bother defending themselves.  Instead there's just a shitstorm of white-knights desperately trying to convince everyone that it's all hunky-dory, despite the fact that things are progressing in a manner that wouldn't have flown in the mid 2000's.

 

Why? I don't know.  Maybe deep down they're trying to convince themselves they don't feel cheated, or maybe they're lookin' for brownie points, or maybe they truly believe what they say.  The latter seems the least likely though.

 

None of this is to say the game is without merit.  If it were, then many of the people posting criticism wouldn't even bother.  We all see the potential of DayZ, and once in a while it shines through while you're playing.  However the amount we have to wade through in pursuit of those moments leaves a bad taste in the mouth of many players.

 

In the end, the reality of it is that Early Access Alpha is more of a business model than a development model.

Yeah this thread is obselete. Im sure we will have all new broken game issues with new patch. But im sure other things will be fixed.
