Cutting the rot off of fruits and veggies

Recommended Posts

I thought of this when playing the experimental and seeing some of the new foods.

In my family garden, I've seen plenty of tomatoes and bell peppers looking like the rotten ones newly added. We wouldn't throw them out, but cut off the bad part.

What I am suggesting is that you can take a sharp tool, drag it over a rotten veggie or fruit and you get a reduced fresh version that won't get you sick. The amount you would get from a rotten fruit or veggie would be random (10% to 45% maybe).

I hope you did not eat furits/vegetables which one was took by micro-fungus(mucor etc), because if you see their reproductive orghans (that bloom) they already in whole fruit/vegetable. Because if you will cut this bloom, you will eat mucor anyway, it's already took whole, and now he was ready to reproduce...
