Lag upon sight of a zombie.

So whenever i see a zombie my game instantly drops from 30-60fps to 4-8 fps, and jumps and stutters and sometimes the game simply goes not responding, when im walking around everything is fine, the second i see any zombies though this happens... im using the default video settings with post processing disabled, and im using GB DDR3 ram, along with a GTX 480M nividia, and some other good stuff (4 hard drives of 250 etc etc.) so my PC is pretty good, i have no idea what the issue is, i hope to get this resolved.

(i have also tried re-installing, but to no avail, even a restart didn't work...)

EDIT: to be more specific im using a Asus G73SW, yes the sandy bridge does have throttling, but im using throttle stop to achieve maximum fps.
