Recommended Posts

i often read if it rains on the server the ppl sit in a building and wait until its over.  does the rain do something to you? destroys all your stuff or something like that? cause i always continue running even if its raining. some answers would be nice :D

Rain has no effects at the moment, besides the indicators that have no consequences.

But it will have in the future, promiss!

I feel like adding detrimental effects to rain is excessive, unnecessary in a game and I for once don't want to be stuck indoors doing nothing whilst waiting for some damn rain to subside.

It's my humble opinion that it is a feature that will get very old very quickly, even considering the likelihood that it will have something to do with body temperature at night or in cold weather.

That was pre-0.42, now the weather is synced so its identical for all players on the server.

Rain could possibly effect clothing, I was soaked a lot today and my clothes seemed to need to be repaired a bit.  Either that or I didn't really notice damage done to my clothes when thumped by zombies. That certainly can damage things.

Soaked shirts can not be torn in to rags for bandaging, at least that was the way it was in Experimental before it was moved to stable. Also batteries would become ruined if stored in a wet pocket.
