What is the reason that respawn button is not always available? And make it count as suicide.

 

I should be able to kill my self with screwdriver, knife, piece of glass or whatever else easely obtainable. Instead i need to search for suitable building to drop off, and sometimes that does not work, not even breaking my legs.

To spare you some work, i dont need suicide animations, just present me with familiar "You are dead" black screen when i push "Respawn" button.

You will be able to comit suicide with all kind of weapons in the future. Was confirmed in the last dev blog I think.

The limit was introduced in order to stop players constantly respawning to get a better spawn point, so now it only happens when low on health (Broken legs I think?).

 

If the poster above is correct, then it shouldn't be a problem for most people in the future. However, while I support the idea of suicide (Not a common sentence to write :P) from the backlash the DayZ trailer got from featuring suicide, I wouldn't be surprised if nations like Germany or Australia banned it in some way.
