The_Monk 320 Posted March 21, 2014 It is late and my bedroom is full of spiders (Australia! Fuck yeah!) so sleep isn't happening. So I was thinking of a few additions that would add a little something/provide different amounts of storage. First thought was a series of bandoliers that hold various types of items. Pouches for generic items: Magazine specific Loose rounds/grenades etc Removes the focus somewhat on always just having an assault vest in the vest slot. Could be variants with knife sheaths and such when hunting becomes more of a focus. The next was a new slot all together, belts. Either set belts or you find a belt that takes a certain number of attachments that you find separately. Holsters/pouches/sheaths etc. Tool belt for holding the bits and bobs for doing your wizardry Police style utility belt with a pistol holster Small storage in the head slot. Military mesh/straps etc for holding small objects Shits and giggles items like beer helmets Concealed carry holsters and such that can be worn underneath jackets/clothing. Some customisation that my tired brain can think of, cutting down and ruining perfectly good weapons for the sake of concealment/carrying in pack. Such as bolt actions: Pump actions Breach loaders (Yes I know we can chop the double barrel but the Blaze 95 would be a vicious shorty) Lever actions All of these would be much less effective than their full length counterparts, but with the large amount of ammo types, a short anything with a different round to your primary weapon could be a godsend in a pinch. Painting is something that needs to be used not just for camo. Some people like to make a statement, or are friendly/psychotic and don't want camo on their gear. Tiger stripes Medic crosses etc so people don't automatically murder anything in a ballistic helmet. I feel that is enough of a photo assault for now.
guppy22143 1081 Posted March 21, 2014 The medic cross. YES!Currently, a lot of RRF I've talked to go with a sort of "uniform".A respirator, UN Ballistic helmet, tan tactical shirt, and beige cargo pants. It has clarified who they are numerous times! :D

Things like this would make it easier, and allow bandits to trick people in new and exciting ways. I was also considering a "Neck" slot that is essentially like the face slot. A whole bunch of objects that are just for customising your character. Scarves, ties, bling jewelery, necklace of ears. That kind of thing.
irishroy 1347 Posted March 21, 2014 Such as bolt actions: Breach loaders (Yes I know we can chop the double barrel but the Blaze 95 would be a vicious shorty) will come, it's in the gamefiles already Lever actions several items were suggested multiple times already, like lever action rifle, holster, utility belt, sawn off pump-action, etc. ;) But still:The more people care about it, the more likely it's going o happen^^

Meanwhile, I am pulling out a pump shotgun and shooting that cross like a bull's eye. :D
JKS-Alex 79 Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) At the moment, you see some fellow in all army gear and assume automatically he wants to shoot your face off, eat all your beans, then laugh at your corpse. And that's exactly what will happen. Our group has tried to bring some help and supply on the coast to newcomers and even bambies have attacked us with punch or fireaxe to take our loots, and one was hiding a gun.. so i assume the rule it's valid for evryone not only for poeple in army gear <_< in most cases it's kill or get killed specially when you try one time the sawn-off shotgun, a guy one time killed 3 of us (oneshotted) while we was doing some equip management before we've drawn our weapons and killed him, a very boring 1 vs 5 suicidal action Edited March 21, 2014 by JKS-Alex

I generally only "No questions asked" fire if they already have a weapon out or if I am in high risk area like an airfield. Even at airfields I let a lot of people live. I used to kill everything that moved, I still occasionally relapse, especially if surprised. Talking to people prior to feeding them buckshot makes the game much more interesting however. Also, if you play hardcore there seems to be less coast fresh spawns trying to punch you for your beans.
