keep falling to the bottom of the ocean

can anyone help?  my regular character crashed one day down near elektro so when i got back into the game, it seem my character kept walking right out off the dock and sinks to the bottom of the ocean.  it wont let me respawn, it says i'm dead, but i can still hit tab to see my inventory and stuff.  every time i come back into the game, i have all my guns still but keep getting dropped into the water.  is there any fix i can do?  i was hoping after this patch it would fix it, but no.  my hardcare character is loaded and i really dont want to have to re-install.  i will try that if i have to after i die in hardcore though if thats the only thing that will fix it.

 

please help!

 

PS  i searched, but couldnt find a clear answer.

I am in same kind of situation. Exactly the same as you and also near Elektro pier near the multiple cranes.
If you reinstall the game, please let me know if it solved the problem :) Been having this issue for a month maybe?

i will update this thread if and when i do re-install.  i'm going to play hardcore and will probably die since i'm lone wolfing it.  thats a bit disheartening that you've been stuck there for a month....
