Help Needed!

Hi there,

 

I'm new to the forums here so apologies if i'm posting in the wrong place or miss any information out in this but I'll try and be as accurate as I can!

 

I recently purchased Day Z standalone from Steam, chancing my luck and hoping it would run on my laptop after watching so many Youtube game-play videos. I can run the game but it is extremely laggy, I didn't expect much from my laptop but I was just wondering if there was any way I could increase the frame rate or buy anything that might help run the game more smoothly. If you think it's a lost cause, I was just wondering how I could cheaply buy or build a pc that might run it a bit better. Unfortunately being a student I don't have that much of an expendable income but any suggestions are welcome!

 

Here's the specs for the system I'm currently trying to run it on;

 

Acer Aspire 5742

Intel ® Core i3 CPU M370 @ 2.40 GHz 2.40

Installed memory 4 GB

System Type: 64-bit operating system

Windows 7 Home Premium
