i was link-jumping around dayz topics tonight and i finally came here:

 

and i was remembering how cool it was to have these ambience sound fragments in the mod.

it added so much to the atmosphere and the identity of DayZ, especially suspense_7 and suspense_8.

it still gives me the chills without even playing:)

so I want it back! now! can't be that hard. pretty please?

I'm not sure if it's royalty free or if there would be legal issues.

 

Also I don't know anyone that plays with the music enabled. Turning it off was the first thing I did when I spawned for the first time.

well, read the comments to the video, they are not so few and most of them miss it in the stand alone version....

It's a little bit biased considering you're basing that on the opinions on those of people who have searched "DayZ music" on YouTube. Point taken though, I guess some people enjoyed it.
