Looks to me like a combination of a foggy day in the game and gamma/brightness set way too high. Looks terrible.

HDR setting gives the blurred effect' date=' I can't stand it.

No, blur is created by PP. HDR changes lighting fidelity + range.

Whatever settings he used in that video, they look like complete shit. But, the OP wants his to look like that. I personally have no idea. It looks like it could be some combination of HDR, PP, and control panel settings for your graphics card.

I would say use FXAA (PPAA in ARMA Config) to give that nice colorful look, like the BF3 FXAA did.

Besides that, that OP pic is ugly, looks too much Bloom / HDR or Postpro. Or even added onto video afterwards in After Effects to make it look "HD"

either way, that gives me headache.

Set post process efx and hdr very high , also raise gamma and brightness, dont forget it depends on the daytime aswell how the game locks. Post process efx will give you the blur and hdr the glare. I ve booth down cos i cant stand this look...

Yeah looks horrible and as others have said it's mostly Post Processing and other graphics being too low. Post Processing only looks good/decent when other graphics are extremely high also. But if you want it blurry like that some settings need to be lower and the brighter the game is, with brightness gamma and hdr the more blurry it will be. It looks like he left his settings like this after playing at night.

I would completely disable FFXA. It's a lossy anti-aliasing approximation intended more for performance than accuracy. If you have a good video board just disable it.

Yeah this is a perfect example of how not to implement bloom and HDR.

I don't know if it's fog or what but my game has never looked like that and I am so glad.
