dgeesio 1034 Posted March 17, 2014 This whole day when I played DayZ, I found only two guys in a remote town. Servers I played always had around 15-30 players. I looted both of the airports and many cities, and saw absolutely no one. Only the last city I looted, the one with a tall broken building with a plane wreck on the street, had at least some evidence of human activity before my arrival. Well, while walking to the east I was suddenly shot to the chest from somewhere and I died. But where the hell are everyone??? Karmaterror 982 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) For me the problem now is options. The old way a lot of weapons only spawned at NWA.....and that was the only place with barracks. Now theres barracks everywhere and as said in another post "no hotspots". Sure more of the map will be getting used but there isn't one key place anymore, a place where you know every survivor will want to get to for the best gear. SA feels like one of those mod servers that put barracks on the coast and in most towns lol :) EDIT - also hospitals are a big one.....the only ones in the mod were on the coast.....and best guns at NWA....this made peeps constantly visit both the extreme north and south....but now everything you need can be found in one small section of map :( Edited March 17, 2014 by Karmaterror Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Checked the few busy Stable Hardcore servers I could find throughout the day. No one around, no shots fired... lowkey 14 Posted March 17, 2014 Based on the fact that it's the map from the mod, I assume it's a heat map from the mod. I'm sure for SA right now it's more coastal.You have 3 basic types of people for this sort of thing. Coastal Deathmatch people, server hoppers, and hermits/nomads who go to the weirdest of places.I fall in the latter. My HC character has been hiking about 1 km North of the northern railway for a couple of weeks now, playing about a 1/2 hour a day.LOL, lovely country up there. Some nice loot spots too. I have not been more then 1k south of those tracks in a long time on HC. I always find the doors open in the hamlet north of NEAF and the new city, but never find any signs of life west of those.
