this is the place to ask this question, just saying real quick.

I run DayZ on a lesser rig with several modifications the the cfg files, it scrapes by although recent patches on experimental have helped a lot.

Low with most effects turned off I would imagine. I'd only ever use that card with .

I'm from the Uk so prices are vastly different when compared but I'd wager that you could build much better for the same price. Or if you don't know how... save another 100 bucks and get a rig that has a 760 already in it.

I've spent around £700 in the last 12 months (almost to the day) and have ended up with the following:

Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AM3+

FX-4170 4.2GHz Quad Core

8Gb RAM 1866MHz

Asus GTX 760 2Gb OC Edition  -  Replaced a GTX 650 from same manufacturer less than a month ago (could run SA on Medium with most effects either off or on low).

80Gb Intel SSD (System)  -   Added after initial build.

Corsair C600M PSU

150Gb Raptor HDD 10'000 rpm  -  Added after initial build.

2 x 300Gb Raptor HDD 10'000 rpm  -  Added after initial build.

Zalman Z9 Plus (w/ 4 blue led fans, front panel fan controller and digital readout)

If it wasn't for my Government screwing the shit out of us in import tax and other bollocks, I should have paid roughly half of what I have, with tax and stuff on top, say £350 - £400 (roughly $650 - $700 with going exchange rate).  For the same money you should technically be able to get twice the machine I have.

Like I said above if you don't know how to build one yourself and are going pre-built then try and pick one up with a 760 already installed, as you can see I have one also and only picked it up recently, it's a great card. At the moment it's easier to list the games it WONT play on High or Ultra, that to try and name everything it does...

Hope that kinda helps. I'm very tired lol

It's not too bad but the 4440 is only clocked to 3.1Ghz as stock and locked/not overclockable, which would put me off it straight away. Something like the 3570k or 4670k will hit 4.4Ghz with even a cheap aftermarket cooler easily, even higher if you get lucky and get a really good chip. It's a damn sight better than the original build you linked too and will run DayZ at an enjoyable level though, anyway.

If you have any more questions please use the "Can I Run Day?", which you can find here...

Thanks.
