EhJay 0 Posted May 13, 2012 Hi there, Id love to see an overhaul of the Inventory and Item Management portion of the game, it is really amazingly awful, I just had 2 nearly full alice packs, 2 side arms, an enfield, and half my other inventory disappear before my eyes. This game is really very fun, I havent found myself having such a good time doing anything in years, then this happens and I really have no desire to play at all anymore, its not that the items were lost, its not even that it was a bug, its an alpha thats expected. Its the Inventory/Item Management in general is bloody asinine, really and honestly its the worst inventory/Item Management I have ever seen in ANY game in I have EVER played, I really REALLY REALLY cannot stress how horrible this is. Honestly, horrid.
samjwbrowne@gmail.com 15 Posted May 13, 2012 Unfortunately it's also how Arma II works. So that's with Bohemia, not with Rocket. Not sure much, if anything, can be done about it.
bulltrue 0 Posted May 13, 2012 1. It's really not that bad2. It's a mod. How would they change a games inv system?
Trivius 8 Posted May 13, 2012 The system is pretty bad but i can bare it. The only thing that gets me is dropping all your ammo clips when you drop a weapon.
salty (DayZ) 39 Posted May 13, 2012 I actually like the system. Like most things DayZ/ARMA related, it takes a while to get used to. It is a bit buggy (i.e. weapons/ammo disappearing when switched), but alpha is alpha. Lets hope inventory bugs are DayZ specific and not an issue with the ARMA engine itself. guran 1 Posted May 13, 2012 Yes the inventory system is quite messy, especially with the backpack. The most annoying thing is that items seem to disappear sometimes though. Like when you add stuff to a full backpack, I don't think I even can find the stuff on the ground, it just vanishes. Or have I just imagined this?If items didn't randomly disappear it wouldn't bother me that much since I could fix it with some time (picking up the item from the ground) but as it's not I'm almost scared moving things around when the inventory almost is full. b00ce 5 Posted May 14, 2012 The inventory is an ArmA 2 thing. You'll just have to bear with it.
Hesher (DayZ) 2 Posted May 14, 2012 The inventory system is horrid but I dont think there is any easy way to fix it or change it.
