Weapon Customization

Hey there,

 

I currently really like the weapon attachments and customization in this game, yet I would like for it to be improved. First I would like there to be a weapon Table. A table found in a lot of places and something that can be crafted and added to a base if and when building is introduced.

With my idea I would like to see the weapon be opened up and give you a in depth look into your weapon, from here you should be able to change Triggers, Firing pins, Barrel, Placement of side rails, Hand grips and Firing Modes. These parts would require plans and the resources and could be found. The items themselves being found should be extremely rare.

Another thing I would like to see with weapon attachments is the ability to customize your sights and scopes, e.g. the placement of red dots, the type of red dot, Magnification, the weapons color and so on.

I know these are big things to imagine, but i believe that this would have people more submerged in the game, this being because you could literally have the weapon everyone has but with you own twist.

This really shouldn't be "Gun Disassembly 2014" but some improvement on weapon parts is needed

The second suggestion wasn't from CoD, those sort of things are a reality. I was only suggesting as well. Yes I do play Cod occasionally but I do not intend for it to become like that. As for the Gun assembly It all comes back to the game getting boring. More attachments and Weapons mechanics is a way for the game to not become boring quickly. I say this because I sat down and started playing the game only to find that I could quickly acquire top tier items, whether this comes down to the game and the amount of danger being minimal is also another thing.

Otherwise I did "overkill" the level of customization thing.

I believe that it has been said that with the way the engine works, that even painting the gun means that a second model must be created, so take the mosin, there is a normal, black, green, and camo version.

 

SO, I think that this idea would mean you would need, a model for every possible combination, and color.  I could be wrong on that, but I don't see that as possible.  Plus as much of a gun nut as I am, I only know of a few stores in my area which would normally carry any sort of internal or weapon specific parts... and that is even limited, I had to order a shotgun barrel because I couldn't find anyone that had a home defense barrel.

 

I think that the odds of finding lets say a ~$500 high grade trigger for an (which would also allow full auto) m4 would be impossible and unrealistic in an apocalypse.
