Being unlucky(or stupid)

So yesterday I logged out while hiding under a tree and theres me thinking it was a safe spot to go offline - I was wrong.

Today I logged back in to find there was a sniper in the very same tree as me! I freaked out and tried to shoot him (I know, bad me) but being even more unlucky none of my DMR shots hit him and he calmly put me down.

I couldnt believe it. Anyone else have any unlucky or stupid dayz moments?

Um yeah,

So my friend is looting Stary, zombie breaks his leg. I ride my motorcyle there with morphine. My friend has to go to work and logs off. I decide, I am there lets see whats in the tents. 5 minutes later, server hopper comes in, takes a pot shot at me, I fire back. He disconnects. I bandage. Continue looting. About 2 more minutes pass, 2 more server hoppers appear. I kill one, the other kills me.

Moral of the story. Stary blows, it is a mecca of for server hoppers and I should have known better. Next time I will let my friend crawl his broken leg ass to me. Then put a bullet in him.

I had a silenced M4 with 5 mags, glock with flashlight and a GPS, only to find a car someone had left behind fully repaired and go on a joy ride only to crash it into a wall and bleed to death :(

So I was this sniper in a tree minding my own business.. when all of a sudden this guy just shows up behind me. At first I'm trying to be friendly but then he just starts shooting at me with the DMR... So I had to kill him.

Yeah stary is terrible.. I used to run around north of stary raiding hunting stands and occasionally popping down to the military tents if it seemed safe enough. No matter how careful you are there, and even on the blackest nights it's a death trap it seems.

Most humiliating death though; earlier in my dayz experience I'd been killed a bunch by players and decided I'd shoot the next person that came near.. I was prone in some bushes and a guy comes running right at me.. He gets close and I unload a whole makarov clip at him, which completely misses. Up until that point he hadn't seen me. He then quickly blows me away.

Up until that time I'd never been killed where it was clearly my own provocation. Weirdly enough that encounter made me go back to trying to play as friendly from then on.
