Random Shuddering/Lag

Hello, been trying to troubleshoot this for the last couple days with no luck or progress. Any help would be great.

3~ Days ago or so the game was running fine on high settings. 1920x1080 I can play standard Arma II on very high today with ZERO lag or hesitation.

Currently, the lag makes the game unplayable on bottomed out settings, there is no pattern to it. I can be in the woods alone a city filled with zombies in a field. It makes no difference. The game will feel like it pauses it self. I can count to about 2 or 3 seconds of nothing happening, then it will go back to playing sometimes these spurts are spaced out by 15 - 20 seconds to about a couple minutes.

Drivers are up to date, tried Beta patch and current version of Arma II

no changes. Game is installed via Steam, no issues with files fragmented or otherwise(other than the one)

If you haven't already found out what this is -- I was experiencing the same problem. It was the Six Launcher running in the background. Assuming you're using that to load up DayZ, alt-tab out and kill it. All smooth once again.
